This Week's Highlight

As many of you might already know, I’m an avid runner! And if you didn’t, you’re probably wondering why my arm looks like a gradient chart from all the tan lines (thanks to the relentless Bangkok sun 😅).

In this tutorial, I showed how I use my running log to create a simple habit tracker. I’m super excited about this sketch because it’s all about the aesthetics—less technical, more look at this beauty!

What Inspires Me

I recently visited Chiangdao, a city north of Chiangmai, which is itself north of Bangkok! One of the main attractions there is an impressive cave system filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Fun fact: parts of the cave can only be explored with a guide and a lantern!

I snapped a picture of this brain-like pattern on the cave floor, which instantly reminded me of my tutorial on differential line growth. Nature never fails to amaze me with its beautiful organic patterns—it’s like it’s been doodling for millions of years!

AI x Culture

I recently attended an event called AI x Culture Symposium, centered around an innovative project called Cybersubin. This project explores how traditional Thai dance knowledge can be translated into interactive computational models, creating “Human-AI co-dancing” experiences. By combining choreographic principles from Thai dance with real-time computational techniques, the project enables dancers to improvise alongside virtual agents. The result is a fascinating blend of cultural heritage and intelligent technology, where human and machine movements interact to create hybrid aesthetics.

This raises thought-provoking questions: can traditional art forms and cutting-edge technology coexist harmoniously? And as we adapt ancient practices to modern frameworks, how do we ensure the essence of the old is not lost in translation?

What do you think—can culture and technology truly dance together?

Until next week!
