This Week's Highlight

Friends texted me whether I was okay after seeing my latest tutorial, A Shattered Heart. If you are also worried, I am totally fine. My heart is full 😝 ❤️

This tutorial was inspired by this piece by a good friend Lea Naisberg, who created it using an image of a cloud. I love pieces like these, where end results are so creative, super fun, and interesting it makes you forget about the code behind it.

What Inspires Me

Lately, I’ve been fascinated by the way sound can be translated into visuals: how frequencies, rhythms, and harmonies can shape patterns and motion in unexpected ways. There’s something magical about seeing music rather than just hearing it, almost like revealing a hidden layer of reality. Creative coding isn’t just about writing algorithms—it’s about finding new ways to sense and interpret the world around us.

On that note, ever heard of Chladni’s Plate? When fine sand is sprinkled on a metal plate and vibrated at different frequencies, the particles arrange themselves into striking geometric patterns. I won’t say much more just yet, but keep an eye out for an upcoming tutorial. I think you’ll love it 😃

Audio Visualization Workshop

Last week, I hosted an audio visualization workshop in Bangkok, where we explored how to turn sound into dynamic visuals using creative coding. We broke down the fundamentals of working with audio data—reading frequencies, mapping amplitudes, and creating reactive visual elements. It was exciting to see how everyone brought their unique artistic perspectives into the code, transforming raw sound waves into motion-driven art.

I’ll be sharing some highlights (and maybe a tutorial!) soon. Let me know if you’d be interested in a workshop like this in a city near you!

Until next week!
