Last week, I shared a tutorial where I attempted to recreate this mesmerizing piece by Dave Whyte of Bees and Bombs. This tutorial is especially meaningful to me because I first recreated it exactly five years ago, right around the time I got back into coding and posted my very first video.
Looking back at that early version, I can’t believe how far I’ve come—a true testament to the power of practice. I’m excited to share this more refined version with you!
What Inspires Me
Patatap, an interactive audiovisual project by Jono Brandel and Lullatone, turns your keyboard into a playful instrument, generating sound and motion with each keypress.
It’s a great example of how simple interactions can create expressive, real-time experiences—something I’m exploring in my own work at the intersection of sound and visuals.
