A Beginner Once Again | November 1, 2024
Wow, can you believe it is already November? Quick question: is it socially acceptable to listen to Christmas music now? 🎄😝
This Week's Highlight
Jokes aside, I feel like this year flew by and I am proud to say that I have done quite a lot! This week, I released the first episode of my multi-part series on Physical Computing and I couldn't be more excited 🥳
I did a bit of physical computing back in the day, but wouldn't call myself an expert by any means. Though that is exactly why I am excited about this series!
In the past year, I have gained so much confidence as a creative coder by consistently coding and making videos. I’m looking forward to bringing that same approach to physical computing—a subject I once found challenging. And through this journey, I hope to share with you some learnings or at the very least some cool pieces of art!
What Inspires Me
I'm a bit late sharing this incredible video and project by one of my favorite makers right now—Jay from the Engineezy YouTube channel.
The build itself is fantastic, but what really captivated me was seeing the immense engineering effort throughout the video (you can tell he's a bit exhausted by the end!). I love watching so much dedication go into a project that isn’t necessarily "practical" in the traditional sense. His passion for both art and engineering shines through, and you can tell he really enjoys the process.
Give it a watch. You won't be disappointed!
Another Library, Perhaps?
For my usual coding content, I am looking to explore some other libraries. What would be interesting? Respond back with 1, 2, 3, or lmk if it is something completely different!
ml5.js
three.js
more matter.js
Until next week!
