Jazz, Lights, and Dreams 💫 | November 18, 2024
This Week's Highlight
All the wave pattern tutorials have been huge hits, and this one was no exception. I love sketches that are simple to create but result in something truly mesmerizing.
In this tutorial, I explored a few concepts: generating oscillating motion with sine waves, utilizing a 2D array, and achieving a trailing effect through transparency. If you like this one, be on the look out for the 3d version coming out tonight!
What Inspires Me
Lately, I’ve been diving into the machine learning library ml5.js and have created a few videos exploring its capabilities.
Dan has also posted a number of videos using the library, including this most recent one where he made a halloween mask that dynamically tracks facial movements and demonstrates texture mapping using UV coordinates. Definitely a fun one to check out!
Jazz, Lights, and Dreams
I really love this time of year—it’s so festive and full of creative energy. Last week, I went to see Before 2475 Restage, an incredible open-air rooftop production set against the stunning backdrop of the Chao Phraya River. It blended live jazz music, breathtaking set design, and an amazing light and sound performance, all under the night sky. The story took the audience back in time to explore pivotal moments in Thailand’s history, reflecting on dreams of the past and how they shape the future.
One thing that always helps me stay inspired is getting out and experiencing different kinds of art and performances. It’s not just fun; it fills me up creatively and gives me a fresh perspective. I always leave feeling recharged and ready to dive back into my own projects with new ideas and energy.
Until next week!
