This Week's Highlight
I made the first video on matter.js — a 2D Javascript physics engine created by Liam Brummitt, designed for simulating rigid bodies and is ideal for web-based simulations, games, and interactive experiences.
I have a few tutorials in the pipeline using matter.js, but would love to hear what else would be interesting. Let me know!
What Inspires Me
The matter.js series was inspired by AnyPixel, an open-sourced software and hardware library for creating interactive displays created by Google Creative Lab.
This is a rather old project (about 8 years old) and I actually used it as an inspiration for two of my earlier coding tutorials. Now that I am starting a series on physical computing, I hope to eventually build up to making an interactive project like this one. Let's see what I can do. Stay tuned!
Fall is Finally Here
Fall is my favorite season.
Now that I live in Bangkok (which only has three seasons: hot, hotter, and hottest), I miss the cool weather, the changing of the leaves, and (may I say) pumpkin-spice latte. I know I know... Starbucks is everywhere in the world, but it's different drinking it in the hot heat of Bangkok 🤪
Last year, I went to Seoul during the fall and was inspired to create this piece.
